Community Hub

Links for help and to help in Nottinghamshire and Nottingham

Now, above all other times, possibly in history, we need our neighbours. And our neighbours are going to need us.

Being in lockdown is going mean that people are having to rely on each other to go shopping, to get medicines to those in need and above all to keep moral up.

Very few of us have been in this situation before. Well, to be precise, none of us have. And it is going to go on for a long time.

If you can, contact your local community hub and offer to help.

And if you need help, then let your hub know.

Over the past few years there has been a much overused phrase that suddenly seems completely appropriate ... “we are all in this together.”

NHS VOLUNTEER RESPONDERS

NHS

NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up to support the NHS during the COVID-19 outbreak. To do this we need an 'army' of volunteers who can support the 1.5m people in England who are at most risk from the virus to stay well. Our doctors, nurses and other professionals will be able to refer people in to NHS Volunteer Responders and be confident that they have been matched with a reliable, named volunteer. click here

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Volunteering

Nottingham CVS

Over the past few weeks, we have been encouraged by a continued influx in volunteering requests from people in Nottingham looking to help those in need during the coronavirus pandemic. We are also receiving regular requests for volunteers from organisations working on the frontline to support some of the city's most vulnerable.

To make it easier for people to express their interest in volunteering, we have set up the following processes. Please do share this information with your contacts/networks.
