Alex is running the London Marathon
to raise money for Maggies

Alex is running his first ever marathon to raise funds for by Maggies.

He will be lining up with countless thousands of fellow marathon hopefuls, including Sir Mo Farah at the end of April, ready to take the capital be storm. (We believe Mo has a team of spies following Alex's training programme with great interest)

Alex is hoping to raise £4,000 to help Maggies keep doing it’s valuable work for people recovering from cancer and families effected by cancer.

2 years ago was Alex diagnosed with a rare and virulent cancer that would kill him in 4 years, Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP)

Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP)

After a 13 hour operation, some liver, all the fat, abdomen lining (peritoneum), omentum, gall bladder, belly button and spleen removed. 60 staples, 2 collapsed lungs, one leaky pancreas, a few touch and go moments, 1.5 litres of someone else's blood (cheers) lots of morphine and one Chuckle Brothers hallucination, Alex is now fit again. He has already run the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

In Nottingham. In the middle of winter. It doesn’t make so much sense ...

Unless you are doing it to make a fool of yourself whilst raising money for Maggies!
