Sherwood Pines is a large woodland area open to the public and full of things to do.
As well as miles of trails to walk along, a parkrun on Saturday mornings for those of you mad enough to do that kind of thing and a really nice café for those who don't, there is also a Go Ape - for people with a problem with walking at ground level and there are cycles for hire.
Now your talking. Cycling is running for people with a bit of common, who want to keep their knees for later in life and can do without all that getting out of breath and building up a bit of a sweat, malarkey.
The cycle hire shop is right at the heart of things, and it is stacked with bikes. No need to book. In fact, you can't book in advance. Just turn up. Pay and off you go.
The cycle paths are well-marked and varied. There are the straightforward ones that anyone can do, even if some might find them a bit boring.
Then there are the more adventurous routes with a few hills - in both the up and the down directions. And if you are really adventurous, there are the options to go off and get yourself lost ...
If you like cycling, then you will like cycling at Sherwood Pines.
