Hothouse Theatre’s Youth project
Creative Youth
– drama, filmmaking audio projects for young people in the Nottingham area.
Hothouse Theatre’s youth project, also known as Film Club (although we are just as likely to do audio projects these days), has been running for about 12 years.
It all started messing around making short films on the Brickyard Estate. It has over time developed to include reporting on fun things to do, other community projects, running film festivals, and audio projects, and is about to start doing drama into the bargain. It is also expanding to include young people in Bakersfield, St Anns and Sneinton.
We are also starting to run sessions with other youth projects to introduce them to the skills needed to make their own podcasts.
The young people are between the ages of 10 – 18 and are in control of the projects they undertake, and are involved in all aspects of the productions and reports.
All sessions will be led by our Workshop Leader, a fully trained teacher, experienced community worker and youth worker, and a support worker.
If you want to join the waiting list to get involved, then send us an email
